First Idea

Plain white back ground with single grey dot (represents the ticket taker)
As the scenes move on, 6 grey dots move in from the left, pass the ticket taker to symbolise the entry of the cinema.
they move in to the screen which is represented by the longer oblong shape.
As they find their positions, the ticket taker morphs in to the letter A followed by I M.
When this is complete, a sound can be heard from the dots 'shhhhh'
then the neon lights appear in place (top arrow and AIM) with the line United cinemarketing underneath AIM.

End

Twisted Pictures

Very effective use of simple imagery that relates back to the name of the company.
Also, the type of films that they produce are 'twisted' so it also has relevance to the companies works also.

Paramount

Taking a look at Dream works and Paramount
They both have references to the sky, i.e stars, clouds, moon etc.

Both are moving through the sky to a destination point where the logo is revealed.

Dream works

Marvel

This is a very good piece to break down.
The motion of the way the logo is revealed is hugely relevant to the companies back ground. They are firstly a comic company, so the flicking through the pages brings it back to that aspect.
They also specialise in hero, so the use of built up heroic music fits perfectly.
It all works very well.

Cineworld

Very nice use of simple shapes, rotation and movement through the logo to build it up.
The sound is sharp and rlevant.

Vue

More audience based, speaking to the audience of the cinema. (movie goer)
Effective use of light and imagery.

The sound works well with the fluent movement of the shapes. Very simple and fast transformation.

Starting to research in to cinema logo motion graphics

To make my logo animated I have first looked at other animated logos, primarily from cinema companies.
Looking at how they move, how the motion relates to the logo and the company its self.
Listening to sound and sound effects.
